The Autumn Exhibition in 2016 took place in Worthing Museum and Art Gallery. The show featured artwork by Society members including paintings, sculpture, textiles and printmaking.
The exhibition was launched by town crier and councillor Bob Smytherman, who chose the prizewinners. Michelle Watson was awarded the Juliet Pannett Rose Bowl Award for a painting that had a particular significance for Bob, as did the highly commended artwork by this year’s runners up, Jane Keeley and Audrey Lee.
The exhibition also featured artwork by a much missed member of the Society. Maggie Pettett was an inspirational and individual artist whose work showed creativity and flair. Her drawings and paintings are colourful and imaginative. We will remember Maggie fondly and are so pleased that we could display her work in the Autumn show.
Here are some photos of the exhibition showing the range of artwork.
